“Stephen Shires has outdone himself - AGAIN! I received my new Stephens trombone yesterday and immediately unpacked it and started playing! It. Was. GLORIOUS!! I have owned a few trombones over the years - King 4B, Bach 42B, a Frankenbone that was a combined Bach and Conn, an Edwards that was made by Steve.
I have never played an instrument with such excellent response, intonation, color and projection.
When I lost my Edwards in the Marshall Fire, I never imagined that I would be able to find a comparable instrument - I was wrong. I got one that’s better. Now all I need is more time to practice.
